The Olympic Rings

This year and this term is all about the london olympics, which is a very exciting moment. My thought is that what does the olympic rings represents? Why are they there? Well if you don’t know you might be interested in knowing them.

The five rings symbolize five continents in the world and they are Africa, the Americas, Asia, Europe, and Oceania. At least one of these colours are on each flag in the world. The rings are Interlocked to represent the peace throughout the world and that they want world peace. Also When coming together and doing world sports it brings happiness to one another.

The original owner of the olympic rings were designed in 1912 by a person called Baron Pierre de Coubertin. He created them because he wanted to include every country in the olympics that's why every flag has at least one of the ring’s colors.

I hope you enjoyed reading this and are having a great time.
