The Weekend

At the beginning of the weekend on Saturday my dad took my family to my cousin’s house.They have a nice garden with vegetable plants, and nice flower plants. They have yummy, yummy fruit on their trees such as apples, oranges, peach and blackberries and we ate some of the fruit from their trees.
After that my cousin and I and some other kids played some soccer. We had three players in each team. It was fun playing soccer, passing the ball to your teammates and getting scores but it was also a bit hard because the other team, they had three good players. On our team the best players were only my cousin and I. The other boy he didn’t even know how to play but he was really good at being goalkeeper.It was so much fun

Cross-Country

It was the ten year old boys turn and I was feeling nervous, because I thought that I was not going to win the race. I thought I would be the last kid of all. When the race started my heart went bang! I ran as fast as I possibly could. I was tired and exhausted, so exhausted that I had to rest one time. I was determined to stand up and race again. I never gave up until the end of the race. Then I asked the teacher, “what did I come?” She told me that I came fifth! After the races I was left feeling very happy with myself because I had proven that if I never gave up I wouldn’t lose the race!

Jesse Martin

Jesse Martin was a brave sailor and he traveled from Australia to South Africa and kept going around back to Australia. He circumnavigated the world on his yacht called the Lionheart with the support of his family. He was determined circumnavigate the world by himself. When bad things happened to him he was a bit scared. Jesse Martin journeyed through this bad weather storm and nearly got hit by the storm. At one point his boat even got hit by this whale.
