My Favorite Place

This term, term 2 at Point England School, our topic is called... “ART ALIVE!”. Our teacher “Mr Barks” gave us an assignment, which we had to take a picture of our favorite place and paint it in a way of an artist. I took a picture of this huge tree because at summer time, my family always have picnics under this shady tree.

I used my teacher's camera and got this photo at a awesome place called Point England Reserve. Its very nice and refreshing, also it has a beautiful beach. My best friend "Carlos" and I, marced down there and thought this tree would be great to paint.

I thought that I would do my painting in the way of Claude Monet. He is one of my favorite artist, I really like his paintings because it looks so realistic. The way that he paints is, he does little tiny strokes.

My Reflective Novel Writing

The interesting novel that we are reading is called “The Tale Of Despereaux”, its a very awesome story and very interesting too. Just reading this novel isn’t what we are supposed to do, we also have to look for interesting vocabulary that we could use later on in our writing.

Now I’m going to tell you a little bit about the novel. The main character of this story is “Despereaux” of course, he has a mother, a father, a brother and a sister. When he was born he was born with very big ears and a small body. His brother and sister thought that he was going to die and his parent didn’t even care about him. His mother gave him the name Despereaux because of all the desperate things that happened to their family. Later on he falls in love with the king’s daughter, Princess Pea. The king did not like it so he tried to kill him! Despereaux ran as fast as he could into this little hole in the castle and said “My name is Despereaux, I honor you” and that’s what we are up to in this novel.

The best thing that I love about this story is that it’s awesome! If you are interested in a good story, you should have a try reading this novel. This story is has great vocabulary and it’s good for reading. You will LOVE IT!!!

Pablo Picasso Reworked

What could be awesomer than a topic about art?  That's right, art... The fabulous name of our topic topic is, ART ALIVE!!!! The favorite subject I could ever imagine.This term we have been learning about five famous artistes. I going to talk to you about one of my favorite artist, Picasso. So lets get started.

Picasso was a famous artist that used different perspectives in all of his paintings, for example like this one. It is a painting of a jug, a candle in the middle and a frying pan I think, on a table you can see that its very weird.. It’s one of his great painting. Picasso’s first painting was called “Riding a horse in a bullfight also his last one was called Mandolin and a guitar.


He became famous when he show artist abilities and painted himself. Picasso was a gorgeous young artist, but sadly, he died on 8th of April 1973 at age of 91 years old but he he was a very awesome artist. He is still famous as an artist even though he is dead.

Interesting Animals

What’s up, Today I am going to talk to you about some interesting, cool, beautiful, freaky and weird animals. I am going to talk about two of my favorite animals.So lets get started.

First we will be talking about an animal called... PANGOLINS! You might ask what is a pangolin, well, have a look at this. The pangolin is the only mammal with scale. The scales are the same material as your fingernails, but much harder. When in danger, the pangolin sticks its head between its front legs. It can even curl into a ball, tucking its head under its tail to protect itself. To clean their body, the pangolin lifts the scale with its leg or tongue and reaches underneath.
Our second animal that we are going to talk about is leafy sea dragon, it looks like this.
Leafy sea dragons do not look like other fishes. The green, orange and gold colors of their body match the colors of the seaweed of the water. Also the jagged of their fins make them look like more of like a plant in the sea. Since they can blend in with their surroundings, a predator looking for meal does not notice them. Only the fluttering of their tiny fins gives them away.
